What size/color photos can I use?
Almost any photo can be used, large (up to 8x10) or small and will be returned to
you untouched. Please indicate on order form preference for color or black and
white for your jewelry image. If a distracting background is present in your photo,
the background may be removed and replaced with black to bring out the face(s.)
Please indicate if you would prefer we use the natural background of the photo.
Photos will be cropped as appropriate for the jewelry item, usually around
the upper body and face. (Be sure to obtain copyright release for use of
professional photos).
How do I send photos to you?
Photos may be sent via standard mail, or via e-mail. When sending via
e-mail, please send as a .jpg attachment to:
photojewelryorders@customphotojewelry.com. Do not crop or compress files for
e-mail, large resolution files are best. Always reference the item number and
description of item ordered with each picture. If more than one person (subject)
appears in the photo, please indicate which subject to be used (e.g. middle child,
2nd from left, etc.)

Photos will be returned with your completed order. Please mail photos using
a photo mailer envelope as we cannot be responsible for damage caused via
the mail.
How long will my order take?
Upon receipt of your photos and payment, most orders will be completed
within 2 weeks - excluding shipping time. During the holiday season turnaround
may extend to 3 weeks. Rush Orders will be completed within one week and are
available for an additional $25, please call or email us to submit your Rush order
and payment information. Additional overnight shipping charges may apply.
How much is Shipping?
Shipping and handling costs are $9.95. We ship Priority Mail (2-3 days) via the
USPS. Overnight shipping available for $19.95.
Do you offer Gift Certificates?
Yes, a Custom Photo Jewelry gift certificate makes a great gift. Your recipient will
receive the gift certificate along with instructions on how to redeem for their custom
jewelry order. Call to order. Great for Baby Showers and New Moms!
Can I insert a photo myself? For most jewelry items, photo images are sealed
within the jewelry under a durable, hard clear finish and photos cannot be
inserted or changed. Photos may be exchanged in items KEY001 and KEY002,
WATCH-001/002. Photo exchange/resizing is available on the above items for a
$15 fee.
Are items Sterling Silver? Yes all of our jewelry items are sterling silver, with the
exception of our watches and key chains. Sterling silver is a metal containing at
least 92.5% silver. This is a standard set by the assay offices in Britain.
What will cause silver to tarnish? Sterling silver will naturally tarnish gradually
over time with exposure to air. Some things which will speed up this process
include: Applying hair color/hair gels/body lotions while wearing your jewelry;
Showering/swimming with your jewelry on; Excessive Perspiration; Continuous
wear (build up of body oils/dirt); Exposure to pool/spa/cleaning chemicals.
How do I care for my jewelry? Sterling silver naturally tarnishes. Jewelry can be
easily polished to maintain it's condition using a silver polishing cloth. Do not use
sterling silver dips for removing tarnish. Jewelry can be stored in a sealed plastic
bag to help prevent tarnishing. Most of our Jewelry items are sealed within a
waterproof finish, however, we recommend you remove your jewelry
before swimming or bathing as pool chemicals and extended submersion in water
may harm photo.
Return policy: As all jewelry is custom made, we cannot honor any returns.
